Master Dickson Lau is the Founder Chairman and Chief Master of the Hong Kong Yoga Association and Yoga Alliance China. He is also the China Hong Kong delegate of the Board for World Movement of Yoga. Having taught yoga for over 25 years, he is one of the most highly respected yoga instructors in Hong Kong. Master Dickson started yoga since childhood. After years of exploration and practice, he combined the essence of all the yoga disciplines that he had studied, blended them with kung fu and sports science concepts, and developed his own unique style of yoga which he named Dickson Yoga.
Dickson Yoga combines yoga, sports science and partner and team practice to ensure that the practitioner can effectively exercise and stretch all parts of the body and improve flexibility within a short period of time. The series of stretches stimulates the different glands, improves lymph drainage and effectively rids the body of toxic elements; twisting and bending massages and tones the intestines; breathing and mantra exercises soothe the mind and remove stress; partner movements open joints and soften muscles; bandha practice directs prana through the chakras. The whole set of Dickson Yoga not only helps you prevent and alleviate common city ailments such as headache, frozen shoulder, constipation and indigestion, etc, but also tones your body line and keeps you fit.
Master Dickson established the Hong Kong Yoga Association in 1994. Its mission is to promote yoga, expand the yoga community, and provide recognition and support for yoga instructors through certification. He teaches the Yoga Alliance 200, 500 & 800 Hours Instructor Training and Certificate Program hosted by the Hong Kong Yoga Association, with the aim to raise the standard of yoga instructors in Hong Kong and China. To date, almost a thousand practitioners have graduated from the program. Over the years, Master Dickson has developed an extensive network with yoga associations around the world to obtain international recognition for his yoga teacher graduates, and to bring his own style of yoga to different corners of the world.

In May 2009, Dickson was invited by Yoga Aid and European Yoga Federation to represent Hong Kong to lead a yoga charity event of 400 participants with other yoga masters from around the world in the famous Piazza Navona in Rome, raising funds for Medecins Sans Frontieres.
